Activities
This section is dedicated to showcase the ‘fun’ part of being a robotics student. The page captures my personal exciting adventures while delving into the intriguing world of robots and, naturally, the art of mastering their usage! 😄
ETH Zurich Robotics Summer School
ETH Zurich Robotics Summer School (RSS) is an annual summer school organized by one of the world’s leading universities in science and technology, ETH Zurich. The summer school is a concentrated week of learning everything one needs to know about robots, with the chance to get hands-on experience.
I attended the ETH RSS in 2022 in my first year of PhD, securing a travel grant from the ETH Zurich. This was a unique opportunity for me to learn about other robotics aspects beyond my PhD focus. In addition, winning the Robotics Competition at the end of the course was a highlight in my trip.
RoboCup
RoboCup is a renowned international robotics competition for students, and it was a privilege for me to represent Team ORIon at the event in both 2022 and 2023. In 2023, specifically, I had the distinct honour of serving as the Manipulation Team leader during our participation in the RoboCup@Home competition. Moreover, during the same year, we forged an exciting collaboration with Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard - UTBM.
Open Day, University of Oxford
I was honoured to represent the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford to perform a robotics demo for the Open Day. I had a thrilling experience witnessing the fascination and curiosity when showcasing robots in front of public audiences.
Conferences
Last but not least, conferences! Whether online or in-person, conference attendance highlights the achievement of a research student. The platform allows me to proudly present my work and engage in the robotics community 🤖.
