International Women in Engineering Day - University of Oxford

I’m honoured to be featured by the University of Oxford and the Department of Engineering Science on their social media channels as part of the International Women in Engineering Day 2025 celebrations.

  • Power in Partnership: This feature of the Department celebrates the Power in Partnership theme, including my collaboration with the Department of Computer Science. It showcases how interdisciplinary teamwork and shared goals are essential to advancing the future of engineering. Watch the reel!
  • Interactive robot demonstration: As part of the Oxford Robotics Institute tour, I had the opportunity to demonstrate our robot in action, showcasing a system developed for one of our recent research papers. The demo highlights how our research translates into real-world robotics applications. Watch the reel!

Invited Talk: Lunch & Learn on Robotics

On May 15, I was invited to give a talk at the Lunch & Learn on Robotics event at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. The presentation was about Embodied AI, where I introduced its concepts and shared how my research explores the interaction between intelligent systems and the physical world. I had a great time engaging with attendees and answering insightful questions.

ETH Zurich Robotics Summer School

ETH Zurich Robotics Summer School (RSS) is an annual summer school organized by one of the world’s leading universities in science and technology, ETH Zurich. The summer school is a concentrated week of learning everything one needs to know about robots, with the chance to get hands-on experience.

I attended the ETH RSS in 2022 in my first year of PhD, securing a travel grant from the ETH Zurich. This was a unique opportunity for me to learn about other robotics aspects beyond my PhD focus. In addition, winning the Robotics Competition at the end of the course was a highlight in my trip.

RoboCup

RoboCup is a renowned international robotics competition for students, and it was a privilege for me to represent Team ORIon at the event in both 2022 and 2023. In 2023, specifically, I had the distinct honour of serving as the Manipulation Team leader during our participation in the RoboCup@Home competition. Moreover, during the same year, we forged an exciting collaboration with Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard - UTBM.
